Good food and good service! Employees were really attentive. They brought out complimentary chips and salsa. I had some of the juiciest chicken fajitas! Had the perfect amount of flavor. Their piña colada was also great. If you love authentic Mexican food, come here!! My hubby had steak tacos and also enjoyed his meal!

The service is fast and always friendly ! The food is very good my favorite is Chicken and veggies on a bed of rice covered with the cheese sauce. It is so very good! The salsa is very good also. Never leave this place hungry !
Traveling from NJ to LA, stumbled across Rancho Nuevo. The food was excellent - everything was super tasty - and the drinks were strong! Add reasonable prices and excellent service, and you just can't go wrong to eat here if you find yourself in the area!

Traveled to Vandalia from Las Vegas. I have been here for a few days. Day 3 I stopped in to try the food here at Rancho Nuevo. Great food! Being of Mexican descent, I appreciate food that reminds me of the meals my grandfather made. This is it. Stop in, have a cold beer, and let the food take you to your happy place. Muchos Gracias.
Stopped based on other Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. Food was great and super fast service. Clean restrooms as others stated. It's a tiny restaurant, but it was wonderful. We will stop again.
We just moved to this area and was asking for recommendations from friends and Rancho Nuevo made the list so we thought we would stop for lunch today (Monday). I ordered the lunch chimichanga special and she got the chicken enchiladas. I wanted to try a sample of the chicken tortilla soup so I asked the waiter and he said sure. The server brought ship and salsa and our drinks. The chips were very fresh and crispy with the right amount of salt and the salsa was very good. Next came the soup sample. Actually it was a full size serving! Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it. I think I was so shocked by the size of the sample that I forgot all about it. Bottom line - this was one of the best chicken tortilla soups I have ever tasted! Next came the entree's. My chimichanga was stuffed with chicken peppers and onions and lightly fried but very good. Her enchiladas we great she said as well. I couldn't finish mine so I took a box with what was left home for later. Definitely coming back soon. Next time I'll start with the margarita special and a bowl of soup and remember to take photos! If you are traveling down interstate 70 or US 51 stop and give the soup a try. I would love to hear what you have to say about Rancho Nuevo. UPDATE 8/7/20: They are no longer serving the chicken tortilla soup. Not sure if they will offer it again or not. If you go ask for it and if enough people do I'm sure they will bring it back. It was awesome!
